A tenth anniversary, a founder's retirement, the first shovel on a new building. These are the days an organization looks back on, and too often the only record is a handful of phone photos from across the room. A milestone deserves a real photographer, not someone's phone.

I document the whole day: the speeches and toasts, the people who made it possible, and the candid moments in between that everyone remembers later. Grand openings and brand launches have their own page, product launch and activation photography. This page is for the celebrations that mark time.

At an anniversary party or a retirement celebration, the program is short and the emotion is concentrated: a few speeches, a slideshow, a toast, a gift. I stay close to the front for those minutes and watch the guest of honor as much as the speaker, because their reaction is the photo people frame.

Then I work the room: longtime colleagues reconnecting, family members, the details you planned, and group photos of the teams and generations that matter. For groundbreakings and ribbon cuttings, I plan the ceremonial moment with you in advance, so the shovels, the ribbon, and the dignitaries all land in one clean frame.

Milestones tend to happen in places that mean something: an office you built, a job site, a stadium, a favorite restaurant, or a venue with a view. Every one of them lights differently, and a job site at noon has nothing in common with a party at Empower Field at night.

I've photographed a tenth anniversary party at Empower Field, a one-year celebration and awards program at Mission Ballroom, and a year-end party among the classic cars at the Vehicle Vault in Parker. Wherever yours is, I plan the key moments ahead of time so nothing important happens out of frame.
