What is it Like Getting Married at Denver Art Museum

Getting ready at the Maven Hotel at Dairy Block!

Stephanie and Adam’s wedding day began at The Maven Hotel at Dairy Block in the heart of downtown Denver. I started by documenting the getting-ready moments with Stephanie and her bridesmaids. Once the ladies finished, they popped a bottle of champagne to toast Stephanie’s upcoming wedding. Meanwhile, Adam was just below, preparing for the day in his own space, the energy building in both rooms as the time to see each other drew closer. Their first look took place on the hotel’s beautiful terrace, a quiet moment where he patiently waited for her to walk out and see each other for the first time that day.

The ceremony site with the city as your backdrop!

The ceremony was held at the newly renovated outdoor space at The Denver Art Museum—an incredible location for a wedding, especially since theirs was the first to take place there after the remodel! The stunning architecture, skyline, and natural light created a breathtaking backdrop as Stephanie and Adam exchanged vows. After the ceremony, we took advantage of the museum’s striking interior and exterior spaces to capture portraits.

The portraits!

The portraits were my favorite part of the day because we had so many different options of backgrounds. We were able to use the exterior and interior of the Denver Art Museum. The outside space had a beautiful view of the skyline as well as the rooftop. Inside, we used the steps and parts of the featured art gallery.

The party space!

Then, it was time for the fun to begin. We moved on to heartfelt toasts, followed by an unforgettable party where the newlyweds and their guests danced the night away. The hora was a highlight, with everyone joining in on the joyful celebration, and the live band kept the energy high all night. There was plenty of space for a live band and a stage. The dance floor was also quite large to get most of the guests on their feet. As a photographer, I really enjoyed the glass as the backdrop with the lights of the city in the background. It made for some extra fun and vibrant images.
