Highlands Ranch Family and Event Photographer | Fly’n B Park Photo Session

I recently photographed a family session at Fly’n B Park in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. The mom was expecting, so it doubled as a maternity shoot as well. Fly’n B Park is one of my favorite spots for family photography in Highlands Ranch, it’s quiet, scenic, and has a ton of variety within a short walking distance.

The timing was perfect. The fall colors were starting to show, the light was soft, and the weather couldn’t have been better. I brought along a small chair for their one-and-a-half-year-old, which worked great for a few solo shots. We moved around the park, taking photos in the tall grass, near the pond, and on a fallen log with a mountain view in the background.

What I like about shooting in Highlands Ranch is how flexible the area is for different types of sessions. While I often photograph events and corporate sessions in Highlands Ranch, it’s nice to mix it up with family portraits in the same beautiful settings. The same natural light and landscapes that make it great for professional corporate photography also create a clean, timeless look for families.
