There’s something timeless and serene about Cheesman Park in Denver — and it made the perfect backdrop for Jaleel and Cassie’s pregnancy announcement. Expecting their first child, they wanted something elegant and meaningful to share the exciting news with friends and family. Cheesman Park checked all the boxes.

We chose to shoot in the middle of the day, which might seem bold for photographers, but it worked out beautifully. The iconic pavilion, with its tall white columns, provided soft, even shade, creating a clean, structured aesthetic that made the couple stand out in every frame. The architecture added a sense of elegance and sophistication.

One of the things I love most about Cheesman Park is its versatility. We captured intimate moments inside the pavilion, then stepped outside for softer, nature-inspired shots. We used the tall grass and trees to add a different look to the photo session. The open space also gave us an incredible backdrop of Denver’s skyline — a subtle reminder of where this next chapter begins for Jaleel and Cassie.
